EVANSVILLE,Ind. – Local PASL-Premier team Evansville Crush have announced Head Coach Dave Roesch will step down from his position due to family priorities.
“We hate t osee him go,” said Crush owner and general manager Andy Hines. “But we understand and we wish him the best.”
Hines will once again take up the role as head coach of the squad. Last season, Hines led the Crush team to Nationals with an 11-6-1 record and to a runner-up place inthe Midwest division of the league. Evansville also notched a place in the Open Cup Tournament under Hines. He has also recorded some playing time with the Crush, netting two goals in the Hoosier Cup this year.
During their second season, Evansville Crush have yet to beat a PASL-Premier team, nearly beating Indy Elite FC in the Hoosier Cup this year.
“I’m very excited to come back to a coaching position for the guys,” Hines said. “I think we have a great team. It’s been a rough start this season, but we have most of our guys from last year and I hope to bring a new attitude to the team, some structure back into the squad and put us back at the top.”
